The page's 2011 language figures for the area - Telugu 83.1%, Hindi 11.2%, Urdu 4.12%, Marwari 1.62% - evidence a resident non-Telugu trading population beside the Telugu Vysya merchants; a Marwari share of that size is a standard bazaar-quarter marker. Both Vijayawada Kanyaka Parameswari temples recorded here sit in or beside this quarter (Kothapet; Fraserpeta/KT Road). CAVEAT: the Wikipedia page still assigns One Town to Krishna district; the Vijayawada core is in NTR district after 2022.
