Badepally
Town
Mahabubnagar district
Telangana
Constituted a municipality in 2015 and the twin town of Jadcherla - separately named but geographically continuous with it. The railway station called 'Jadcherla' physically stands in Badepally. Telugu Wikipedia describes the town as well developed in education and business. NOTE: Badepally does not appear in the English Wikipedia list of Telangana urban local bodies, which shows only Bhoothpur, Devarakadra and Jadcherla for Mahabubnagar district, so its municipality status rests on the Telugu article alone. Site of the district's attested Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Devasthanam.

Telugu Wikipedia gives the temple its own section in the Badepally article and links it from the Jadcherla article as the first entry in Jadcherla's temple list. The section recounts the Vasavi Purana narrative (Kubera's penance for a daughter, his birth as Kusuma Gupta of Penugonda, Vasavi's self-immolation in defence of dharma) and states that she receives worship as the kuladevata of the Vaisyas. Badepally is the twin municipality of Jadcherla and geographically continuous with it.
